MDI's experience with simulator displays provides the expertise for
repair of AMLCD simulator displays while legacy CRT simulation instrumentation
can refurbished by upgrade to state-of-the-art Flat Panel Displays.
Our customers can save up to 50% over the cost of a new display.
Much of the savings come from reusing the box and bezel, two of the
costlier custom elements for simulation instruments. By refurbishing
the originals instead of having to duplicate them, the savings can be passed
along in reduced pricing to our customers.
The CRT and the electronics are discarded to be replaced by the
custom-sized Flat Panel Display incorporating state-of-the-art electronics
and controller software.
This actually makes the refurbished units better than the originals with
enhanced flexibility inherent in the new electronics.
In the following
illustration, the legacy BNC video connectors have been supplemented
with a DA15F and DE9F connector (ITT Cannon standard designation).
The new connectors allow use of the display with a wider variety of
control systems than the legacy unit.
